Multi-Ship Hangar Is Live
We have moved from the single-ship model to a multi-ship hangar. You can now keep several ships, equip each one separately, and switch between them.
Until today ABYS Orbit ran on a single-ship model: a pilot could own only one ship at a time, and acquiring a new one replaced the old.
That model has been removed. Your hangar is now a fleet.
Hangar
Entering the hangar now opens a ship selection screen. Every ship in the game is listed here: the one you are flying first, the ones you own next, and the ones you have not acquired yet shown dimmed. Selecting a ship displays its full specifications alongside.
From this screen you can activate a ship, edit its loadout, or go straight to the store if you do not own it. Designs are listed the same way in the lower section of the hangar.
Loadouts
Every ship keeps its own slot layout. A setup you build on one ship is not disturbed while you fly another; it is waiting exactly as you left it when you return. Configurations 1 and 2 are also kept separately per ship.
Your inventory works as a shared pool: equipment fitted to one ship is deducted from the stock available to the others. Droids are outside this rule — they are fully shared and apply to all of your ships.
Rules
- Changing ships requires you to be docked at a station; there is no restriction while you are offline. This is the same rule that applies to slot changes.
- Ships obtained from the store, trade or coupons no longer replace your current ship; they are added to your hangar and you activate them whenever you choose.
- A second copy of the same ship cannot be acquired.
- Designs are applied per ship and are preserved when you switch ships.
- The repair rule is unchanged: a pilot whose ship is destroyed and who cannot cover the repair loses that ship. Under the new model this loss covers only the ship in question; the others in your hangar are unaffected.
Other fixes
This update also resolves the incorrect display of Skylab robot durations and missing translations on the death screen and several interface labels.
Our thanks to every pilot who reported an issue.
