New for clans: Leader Elections

Pilots,

The update we promised on the forum is here: clans whose leader has not played for a long time can now elect a new leader by vote.

How it works

• If a clan leader has not logged into the game for 14 days, any member who has been in the clan for at least 7 days can start an election.
• Elections are started from the INFO tab on the clan page. All members are notified by in-game mail.
• Voting lasts 72 hours. You can change your vote until the election ends.
• The member with the most votes becomes the new leader. In case of a tie, the member who has been in the clan the longest wins.

Who can vote and who can run?

• To vote, you must have been in the clan for at least 7 days when the election starts.
• To be a candidate, you must also have logged into the game within the last 14 days. You can vote for yourself.

If the leader comes back

• If the leader logs into the game during the vote, or presses "I'm Back" on the clan page, the election is cancelled and they remain leader.
• If a new leader is elected, the former leader stays in the clan as a member.

Keeping the vote fair

• Members cannot be kicked from the clan while an election is running.
• After an election ends, a new one can be started after 24 hours at the earliest.

We look forward to your questions on the forum or on Discord.

See you in space!
