New Event: Capture the Banner — Every Sunday at 20:00!

Pilots, guard your banners! A banner in your company's colors now flies at the exact center of every company's x-2 map. The company that grabs the enemy's banner and brings it home wins: Capture the Banner is here!

When?

• Every Sunday 20:00-21:30 (server time) — the first event is on Sunday, 11 October.
• An in-game announcement goes out 15 minutes before the start.
• You can also find the event time in the Upcoming list on the home page.

How do I play?

• Each company's banner stands at the exact center of its x-2 map (NTO 1-2, SPX 2-2, BOF 3-2).
• Go to an enemy x-2 and fly over the banner to pick it up. You need to be at least level 13 to pick up a banner.
• Bring it to the center of your own x-2 map: 1 point for your company!
• ⚠ To score, your own banner must also be at its base. If your banner has been stolen, rescue it first.

While carrying the banner

• Your speed drops by 15%.
• You can't use cloaking; if you are cloaked, your cloak breaks the moment you pick up the banner.
• Your ship glows with a bright aura; everyone on your map sees you on the minimap, and everyone can see who is carrying it and on which map in the banner panel.
• You can jump through portals with the banner, and level requirements still apply. While carrying, you can only travel through x-2, x-3 and x-4 maps; x-1, x-5 and beyond, the 4-x maps, ApexGate, the Rift and the OrbitBall shortcut are closed to you.
• Safe zones around portals and stations don't protect the carrier.

If the banner drops

• If the carrier is destroyed, loses connection or logs out, the banner drops at that spot.
• If an enemy pilot picks it up, the carry continues from there. The pilot who dropped it can't pick it back up from the ground, but their teammates can.
• If a pilot from the banner's own company touches it, it returns to its base instantly.
• If nobody touches it for 60 seconds, it returns to its base on its own.

Rewards

For the pilot who delivers it, on every capture:

• 250,000 XP + 5,000 Honor + 1,000 Orbidium (the first 10 captures per event are rewarded; later ones still count toward your company's score)

At the end of the event, the company with the most captures wins (on a tie, the one that reached that score first). All members of the winning company (accounts created before the event started) receive:

• 2,500 Orbidium
• 10,000 DLB-25 + 5,000 TLB-50 + 5,000 ULB-100
• +15% XP and Honor bonus for 24 hours (applies to NPC, PvP and ApexGate earnings; not to quest rewards)

Rewards are added to your account and a notification arrives in your mailbox.

Follow along

• The Capture the Banner panel shows the time left, the company scores and the status of each banner: at its base, who is carrying it, or where it lies on the ground.
